Working Together

Construction Landfill and Rubbish

Please ensure that the rubbish generated from construction does not stray beyond the construction fencing.  Packaging should be secured in one area until disposal so that it does not blow onto adjoining lots.  Landfill from your job must be disposed of promptly, and it is not acceptable to store it on neighbouring land.

The Environment Control Officers at Wollondilly Shire Council ensure compliance with development consent and matters such as noise complaints, unauthorised land filling and dumping of rubbish on private property. Council is also responsible for enforcing siltation controls relating to development and other activities in the Shire.  To report illegal dumping, please phone the Land Use Planning and Environment’s Clerical Officer on 4677 1100.

To obtain a free quote for fill removal, you can contact Matt at Lindsay Civil on 0410 581985 or email admin@lindsaycivil.com.au

Trespassing

During construction, it may be necessary to access your job via private land.  You must obtain landowner approval if you intend to enter their property.  It is a reasonable expectation that any damage to neighbouring property be repaired once the construction is complete.

Building Site Theft

As common as it may sometimes be, theft is never acceptable.  If you need to “borrow” materials, it is not only courteous but legally required that you obtain permission from the owner prior to doing so.  Any incidences of theft should be reported to Picton Police on 4677 8999.

Construction Hours

In Wollondilly Shire, residential construction hours are limited to 7am until 5pm Monday to Saturday.   Residential construction is not permitted on Sundays or public holidays.

Damage to Community and Private Property

Damage to gutters, sidewalks, plants, verges and neighbouring lots is sometimes unavoidable.   These must be repaired to the condition in which you found them prior to start of construction. Lend Lease regularly inspects construction within the community and staff may contact you to ask for your damage repair plan.  Any costs incurred by Lend Lease, neighbouring lot owners or the Precinct and Community Associations to repair or clean community property will be referred to the builder responsible.

Please Remove Muddy Boots

The cafe and toilets at the Sales & Information Centre are available for use during construction.  Please remove dirty boots before coming into the building.  The cafe is open 9am-5pm Monday – Friday and 10am – 5pm on weekends.

Park with consideration

With a lot of concurrent building, please consider the needs of other trades people and residents who share the roads.
