Lend Lease is committed to building communities with reduced energy and water usage.

All homes must achieve a minimum BASIX Energy Score of 50.  To achieve this score, a range of measures may be considered, but the following must be provided as a minimum:

• Slim-lined Gas boosted solar hot water system.
• Gas cook top.
• Gas fire place or Gas flued heater for heating.

A minimum 5 Star NATHERS rating to improve the home’s thermal performance must be achieved.

Recycled water will be provided to all homes through the Bingara Gorge water recycling system. As part of the system, all rainwater will be directed to the recycled water system. It is essential that effective siltation controls are in place on every building site to allow effective operation of the water recycling system.  It is also important to prevent chemical and other building waste contamination of drains and water catchments. 

Contamination of the water recycling system will result in systemic failure and costs incurred will be recovered from parties involved. It is a council requirement that building waste be controlled and environmental impact prevented.
