Safe Community

Construction Safety

Community wellbeing in the places we create is a fundamental Lend Lease objective.  In June 2010, Bingara Gorge was accredited as a member of the Pacific Region Safe Community Agreement, the aim of which is to implement an ongoing programme of community safety that enhances social, cultural, environmental and personal safety.

Home Safety

Home is a special place when you are growing up. It’s a place to explore, to have adventures and to play. Unfortunately, the home is also the most common place for young children to be injured.

Most accidents are preventable. If you have young children, try to make the home environment as safe as possible.

Visit the Government ACCC Product Safety Australia website to understand more fully, the risks involved with everyday household items .  This website is for everyone who buys and uses consumer products and for businesses that make, import and sell them. By working together we can all help minimise injuries, illness and death related to unsafe goods.

Construction Site Safety

Where you see a construction site at Bingara Gorge, do not under any circumstances enter the site. Drivers of large machinery often cannot see cars or people on construction sites – especially children.  There are many other hazards including uneven surfaces and debris. Please advise children of these hazards and to stay clear of these areas.

Undeveloped areas

The undeveloped lots of Bingara Gorge are private property and therefore not accessible to the general public. These areas may be undergoing preliminary survey and engineering works so please do not trespass on this land.

Driving Around

Be cautious and aware of large trucks delivering materials to areas where there are homes or subdivisions under construction.   Please drive slowly in Bingara Gorge streets and keep your eye out for young children crossing or playing in the street and local fauna which you may come across.

Water Safety

Many Lend Lease residential developments have specially designed and landscaped lakes, wetlands and swales that act to filter stormwater when it rains. Given the quality of this stormwater run-off and other risks generally associated with these lakes and wetlands, swimming is not permitted in any Lend Lease waterways.

Suspicious Behaviour

If you would like to report something not quite right, please call PGA Links Security on 1300 880 809 24 hours a day.
